Chinese Trumpet Creeper

In classical poetry, the trumpet creeper (凌霄花) is sometimes portrayed as a symbol of dependence, yet more often celebrated for its fearless ascent toward the sun and its resilient, unyielding spirit. This work embraces that spirit of “rising toward the light,” abstracting and symbolizing the flower through the use of fine rattan, elevated by the intangible cultural heritage of rattan weaving to imbue it with new life and aesthetic meaning. In its design, the work not only breaks through the conventional expressions of traditional rattan, but also explores how heritage craftsmanship can be inherited and reimagined within contemporary fashion jewelry design, while pioneering sustainable and eco-conscious material languages that open pathways for harmony between art and nature.

在古典诗词中，凌霄花既被喻为攀附之物，也常因其迎阳而上、坚韧不屈的姿态而备受赞颂。本作品取其“向阳而生”的精神内核，将凌霄花抽象化、符号化，以精细藤材为载体，融入非遗藤编工艺，赋予其新的生命与美学意蕴。作品在设计中不仅突破了传统藤材的固有表现方式，也探索了非遗技艺在当代时尚首饰设计中的传承与再生，并尝试以可持续环保的材料语言，开辟艺术与自然共生的创新路径。
